Hi, I'm the founder

A developer, CIO, CMO —
and lifelong automation obsessive

I've spent my career removing friction. AI changed everything. Here's what I learned.

Founder skydiving over the turquoise waters of Key West — living intentionally

Key West, 2026. Still removing friction — one jump at a time.

I've always been wired this way

My background is in computer science. I've led technology organizations as a CIO and run marketing as a CMO. Across every role, the throughline has been the same: find the friction, automate it, get it out of the way. I've been writing scripts, building systems, and obsessing over workflows long before "productivity" became a content category.

I live in the Apple ecosystem — Mac Mini, iPhone, iPad, AirPods Max. I have Hue lights I control from my phone and a music production setup I've spent years dialing in. My physical space is intentional. I expect my digital life to be the same.

AI changed everything — in the best way

I'm genuinely excited about AI. Every project I take on, my first question now is: how can AI help here? I use it daily — for writing, for code, for research, for music production, for thinking through problems. It has made me meaningfully more capable, and I don't say that lightly.

But here's what nobody talks about: the unintentional clutter that comes with it. Every new tool requires a login, a subscription, a mental model, a workflow. I opened my password manager one day and found a folder called "AI Software Logins" with 47 entries. Tools I'd forgotten. Subscriptions quietly billing me. Workflows I'd started and abandoned. The very tools meant to reduce cognitive load had become the biggest source of it.

What I'm building here

I registered DeclutterMyLife.com in January 2014 — long before AI tools existed to clutter your digital life. Turns out I saw the problem coming.

DeclutterMyLife is where I share what I've learned at the intersection of AI capability and intentional living. That means honest tutorials on the latest AI tools — what they're actually good for, how to fit them into a real workflow, and when to skip them entirely. And it means talking openly about the consequences of unintentional clutter: the cognitive tax, the subscription creep, the half-finished systems.

This isn't anti-AI. It's pro-intentional. The goal is to use fewer tools, more deeply — the same way a great studio setup isn't about having every plugin, it's about knowing exactly which ones you need and mastering them completely.

What we stand for

AI-first, not AI-overwhelmed

Every project starts with the question: how can AI help here? Then we pick one tool and actually use it.

Apple-ecosystem native

Built for Mac, iPhone, and iPad users who want their digital life to feel as intentional as their hardware.

Automation as a lifestyle

From shell scripts to AI agents — removing friction has always been the mission. The tools just keep getting better.

Honest, not hyped

No affiliate-driven "best AI tools" lists. Just real takes from someone with a CS background who's been doing this a long time.
